创新中心致力于石墨烯&新材料的研发、中试、产业化与商业化应用推广，石墨烯材料与器件检测服务，石墨烯材料与应用的计量标准化；同时面向石墨烯制造业创新发展的重大需求，为石墨烯产业发展提供前沿技术和共性关键技术支持、标准制定、成果转化、企业孵化、国际合作、人才培养等公共服务，构建“材料制备+计量检测+装备制造+终端应用”的全产业链服务平台和多主体协同创新网络，打造具有国际领先水平、引领石墨烯技术创新和产业发展的制造业创新中心。
创新中心拥有发明专利22件，制定标准13项，已建成研发中心、检测中心和中小试基地，实验室面积2000平方米，中小试基地500平米，仪器设备总价值逾2000万元，具备开展石墨烯&新材料制备技术开发、储能/热管理/环境等领域应用技术开发、材料与器件测试的技术能力。依靠“石墨烯材料与器件测试评价公共服务平台”，可开展优质、可靠、高效的检测技术服务，平台按照CNAS体系要求管理运行，保证测试结果的科学性、公正性和准确性。创新中心将不断完善研发、检测和产业化设施与条件，为石墨烯产业链和新材料行业的发展提供更加优质的科技服务与载体支撑。
